Synopsis
In Iceland, the first European country to wake up to an economic crash, people became aware that they could and should intervene in society and started demanding more democratic participation.
The payment of bank debts by citizens went to referendum. The government was forced to create a Council to write a new constitution: a citizens’ group - without politicians, lawyers or university professors – who opened the discussion process to everybody and managed to approve by consensus a draft proposal.
In Iceland, many citizens are now organized in associations and have substantial proposals for a society where everyone can participate.
Let’s meet the Icelanders that the media refuse to talk about.

Unbelievable. I really see so much promise in what is happening in Iceland. I have faith in the future. The Icelandics are creating the alternative, they are creating the future and nobody can stop them! GO ICELAND!!!
Awsome ansd inspiring. It feels so good to listen to the voice of sanity, Such hope for the future such as I haven’t heard for so many years in America. America is so corrupt in every way, there are so many hidden government criminal organizations it is hard to keep up with them all.
I Admire the icelandic people so much, what a strong, inteligent, compassionate and united people you are.

i would like to see a live presemtation in my home town Novo mesto in Slovenia. Here we are also standing in the first lines fighting the capitalistic fillts that is making our lives whorse than wehen we were an independant republic of slowenia ;P soo… P.S,: jebite se sva kapitalistična gamat ovog svjeta!
